This year I set a goal to not only memorize but to correctly play Hybrid Rudiments. It has been a challenge but it has helped and greatly improved my playing behind the kit. There are so many little technical pieces that you have to practice in order for these beauty's to come out right. Stick height, accents, pressure applied and released from the fingers. Take a stab at a few of these and see where it takes you! I started with the "Herta" and made my way up to the "Cheese".
Click on the link below and download the PDF. Watch out though because a few of these are not accurate such as the "Book Report". I looked up each Hybrid Rudiment as I moved along on YouTube to make sure each pattern was accurate and found that only a few were not.
